It is the second anniversary since the russian full-scale aggression against Ukraine began. It was supposed to be over long ago, with fascist russia losing, but then the world decided to embrace fascism instead. A genocide is being committed by an openly fascist nation against an “outgroup”, not recognised by anyone, despite russia’s explicitly worded deeds aiming to finally wipe out Ukrainians as a nation. Because instead of fighting fascism, we embraced it.
Same people who ridicule Ukrainians for failing to win are the same people who call to stop all support, close all borders, and deliver all Ukrainians to russia for extermination and subjugation. These people are fascists and fascism-sympatisers and they are in our midst. They can be your neighbours, your relatives, and your elected politicians. You want to know what made Nazi Germany and the Holocaust possible? Look around, we see the same inertia, same attitude, same understanding, same fascism.
Khuilo’s first anniversary – Thoughts on russia’s war on Ukraine
One year of russia’s genocidal war: Things we learned, are slowly learning and haven’t understood yet.
We deny Ukrainians weapons and other help to defend themselves because the fascists in our midst convinced us that money was more important than human lives abroad. russia remains an attractive business partner, for our businesses, for our politicians, and certainly for the fascist movements russia feeds all over the world. Third year of the total war, and despite all the empty phrases in the filthily rich West of “Stand with Ukraine” Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers still have to buy much of their equipment themselves, from their own pockets or from donations from fellow Ukrainians. Just as they did when the war started. In 2014.
Our industry finances the russian war machine by continuing its not-yet sanctioned business, much of the trade flows as if nothing has happened. From one side, blood diamonds, rare metals and even uranium for our “green” nuclear industry are happily being imported. Our farmers protest against Ukraine help but strangely not against fertiliser imports from russia. In the other direction it is not only about Raiffeisen Bank or Mondolez’ chocolate. Both Europe and USA continue selling masses of dual-use electronics and other equipment to obscure russia-friendly states, knowing full well it ends up in russian (and even North Korean!) missiles which kill Ukrainian children.
Iran and North Korea provided more lethal military assistance to russia than many rich western nations gave to Ukraine. EU’s promise to deliver one million of artillery shells was apparently meant as a joke, but North Korea delivered a million shells to russia just like that, with more millions rolling. My German Chancellor Olaf Scholz keeps refusing to give Ukraine his fancy Taurus missiles for no particular reason, while North Korea and Iran have supplied russia with long-range missiles and drones, and more is coming in.

The worst are the USA. Trump’s fascists are not yet in power, yet they already managed to stop all help to Ukraine. The town of Avdiivka had been defended from russian attacks for almost 10 years, but now Ukrainian army retreated, having nothing to shoot back with – courtesy of Uncle Sam. And the russian army now smells victory, they plan to continue rolling, and raze one Ukrainian town after another, because russia has enough weapons and enough drunken orcs to die for their insane Führer’s dream of russian supremacy.
We idiots in Europe keep listening to our home-grown fascists who tell us where russia’s borders should be, and that it is the russophobic Ukrainians who refuse peace negotiations. But we forget that half of Germany used to be russian, and that Stalin envisioned russia’s sphere of influence from Lisbon to Vladivostok. And so does putin. Anyway, russia doesn’t need to militarily conquer Germany or France to bring them under russian control. Instead, it seeks to destroy European unity and democracy with lies and propaganda, and to install fascist rulers. Then, all Europe is up for grabs.
We won’t survive without Ukraine – Thoughts on Russia’s War
If we let Putin’s fascist empire destroy Ukraine, we will turn into fascists ourselves and get the World War 3 we wanted to avoid.
Trump’s presidency was russia’s biggest success so far, and he is about to return. This US fascist leader isn’t even officially nominated for elections yet, but thanks to his successful blockade of all help to Ukraine, USA has finally discredited itself, both as a democracy and as the world power. Europeans and other nations now understand that if Trump is re-elected and the worst came to pass, they will be on their own, and USA won’t help them this time. Watching russia, other dictatorships like China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela prepare for their own military conquests and even nuclear war. They now understood that Europe and USA are toothless, they see their fellow fascists there being successful.
Yes, I know western Europe was never prepared for a war, and it refuses to prepare itself for war even now. I’m sure not alone in suspecting that those mighty NATO armies are only good for parades, and their top officers are controlled by russian agents. But still. The reason why many European nations don’t do much to help Ukraine is because we are embracing fascism. I am old enough to remember how even in 2022 European media and politics were busy finding fascism in Ukraine and blaming Ukrainians for russian mass murders. Right now Ukraine is probably the only country in the world free from fascist influence. You don’t have to be a fascist yourself to fall for fascist lies.
Killer Pacifists – Thoughts on Russia’s War on Ukraine
Why we must arm Ukraine.
Fake pacifism of the “might makes right” kind is a feature of fascism, and look, every drunk brown Nazi thug out there is crying for peace with russia and for an end of arms deliveries to Ukraine (I heard it myself, live). Colonial, imperial and anti-immigration thinking are features of fascism, and so is historical revanchism. One would think we would have learned to recognise and reject fascism, instead we embrace it.
And then of course there is our obsession with Ukrainian corruption, another fascist ruse, where all your enemies are exactly what you yourself are. Ukraine is a corrupt! Drain the swamp! – cry Trumpsters and other thieving fascists. The more corrupt a state, the more concerned it is about corruption in Ukraine, and uses it as the argument to deny help. See Hungary. Or today’s Republicans in USA. And if we do send Ukraine something, even in our best of intentions – it is often broken, unfit for battle, and badly overpriced on top. As Germany did – corruption is something which only rich countries can afford.
At the very least he could have divested from fossil fuels, not just to avert the climate change catastrophe, but also to cut off the money flow to terror regimes and their supporters. But the fascists in our midst hate everything “green”, and we follow the tune, and for everything we do blame the Greens (disclaimer: I am one of the Greens).
Death by Fossil Fuels – Thoughts on Russia’s War on Ukraine
Come climate disaster and nuclear World War 3, we will meet the end sitting in our SUV in a drive-through clutching a burger.
We never learned much from history, in fact we never learned history, only historical myths which made us feel good. Never again what?
Ukraine is defending us all from fascism. We can help, not just with weapons and money. We must fight fascism in our midst. The alternative is unthinkable.
Слава Україні! Героям слава!
Please donate to UNITED24 – Safe Skies, or to a Ukrainian help project of your choice. Ukrainians are fighting for all of us.

One American’s opinion: The United States has an unbelievably large amount of domestic debt which is becoming a huge burden in the interest that the govt pays to the federal reserve. I hate Putin, but It appears that the Europeans need to be pushed into defending themselves by having Trump elected (who I also hate) as they are very resistant to paying the price to protect other Europeans or themselves, or don’t take Putin’s threat seriously.

You do realize that there is a non-zero chance of Trump taking russia’s side completely, to the scale of delivering any tech / equipment putin requests, don’t you? Good luck Europe defend against that, even if they start preparing to this scenario right now.

A world war 3 with nukes is what Trump will bring the world.
Debts per se are bullshit, it’s about what the money is spent on. In corrupt countries it’s stolen, in others it’s invested

There are absolutely no consequences for this debt when the US gives to Ukraine its old age, near or after end of service weapons that have already been approved. There is no Trump or Europeans excuse here. And if a convicted fraudster and insurrectionist is the best choice for a US president, then we are all doomed…

90% of the money US gave to Ukraine stayed in US. It went to US arms manufacturers.
I can’t get my head around it why Americans think it’s their charity to give to Ukraine.
Ukrainians die to protect US markets and US lives, in Europe, and beyond!
Also, Europe doesn’t have the capacity to produce arms like US has.

Simply because this is what the KGB infiltrated media present them. And Europe does not have that capacity again because of KGB corrupted European politicians almost everywhere. Just an example https://web.archive.org/web/20140928151541/http://www.stripes.com/news/europe/breakdowns-highlight-germany-s-struggles-to-project-military-might-1.305064, we may focus only on the following statement:
“Former chief of staff Harald Kujat has said the German military’s problems are partly due to chronic under-financing.”

The US is absolutely not suffering from any economical “burden”. The US has the capacity to nuke the whole world and steal everything. This is precisely because of its military it could afford printing so much dollars during the covid pandemics. The US is so rich they can literally print whatever dollar amount they need … Try that in France for a joke. Ref: https://www.tbsnews.net/features/panorama/us-keeps-printing-money-why-cant-we-539758

Another American’s opinion: Nobody in the US actually gives a shit about the national debt. It is simply a tool to use against an opposing politician or party. Do you honestly believe that we’ll attempt to pay it down if other NATO countries increase their defense spending? What a joke.

No, we wont pay the debt down any time soon…the last time that was done was when Bill Clinton president. But the national debt wont go up as fast if the Europeans pony up and pay more for the US presence in europe via NATO or, better yet, completely pay for their own defense with their own money, which, IMO, is what they should be doing. Even better. pay up for all the damn taxpayer money we have given them in the past, including the Marshall plan, with interest. From an American: pay up, you wine-sipping, tree-kissing Europeans! 🙂

You misunderstood why USA fought in WW2, financed both UK and USSR throughout WW2, and then paid huge money in Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe and especially Germany.
No, not because Americans love Germans.
It was to prevent first Hitler then Stalin from taking ALL Europe. And to create a market for US goods. Ie, toral self Interest.
Stop fucking trolling, OK?

one European strong belief: whatever happens in the US, the EU must provide Ukraine with all weapons, aircrafts, artillery and all manner of support it needs, now. It is already WW3.

In the 1990ies, the French were condemned as Europe’s biggest w*****s for testing more than one hundred atomic bombs in the south pacific (Mururoa-atoll).
Today, what you here is: “Shit, if Trump gets elected, Europe will be open for Russian invasion… but hopefully the French will save us from this with all their nuclear missiles.”
War turns everything upside down.
And, of course, stupid voters: Trump elected + Le Pen elected = end of free Europe.

A painful, sad, helpless but true article. In addition to the very good points in the article;
1) Russia will never attack Europe, especially Western Europe and Scandinavia. Europeans also know this. Everyone knows this. That’s why they don’t want to leave their comfort zone.
2) In addition, they know that Russia’s expansionist policy, which it claims is justified but is actually nonsense, will bring economic and political pressure to them. That is, Europeans know that they will not be attacked, but that their global influence, which is already declining politically and economically, will decline even further.
3) When the war started, no one was in favor of helping Ukraine. Everyone thought that Kiev would be captured in two weeks, and no one wanted to be bad with Russia for such a defeat. However, something happened that neither Europe nor Russia could have predicted. Ukraine did what it said very well from the beginning. And it continues to do so: Ukraine is still fighting. She fights for her own land and people.
4) Ukraine had to do this. In 2014, Crimea was occupied in front of the eyes of the whole world. Obama and Europe did nothing but condemn. Georgia was occupied in 2008. They just condemned it. That’s why Ukraine had to fight. Surprised by what Ukraine did and its success, the USA and Europe decided to support for the reason what I mentioned in article 2 above. Actually, there is nothing surprising about this. Nations with dignity fight for their lands.
5) To the encouragement of oppressed nations around the world, Ukraine continues to fight today. Victory to Ukraine! However, since this struggle is taking longer than expected, the West does not want to give money anymore. Moreover, they despicably present Ukraine as a beggar. Of course, the importance of defending the homeland honorably cannot be understood by those who think of nothing but their comfort zone and money. With such an honorable feeling, I will not hold them responsible.
6) After this summary, let’s see what else is going on right now, shall we? As Leonid mentioned, countries such as North Korea and Iran continue to supply heavy weapons. This news is from August 2023: https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/2023/08/17/russia-iran-drone-shahed-alabuga/ . Russia has already established these factories. They are producing. They even came up with a Russian name for Iranian Shaded Drones. Of course, various methods are followed in these productions. An example from Sweden: https://www.thelocal.se/20221022/are-swedens-disappearing-speed-cameras-inside-russian-homemade-drones .
7) What is the West doing? I’ve read it many times on this blog and elsewhere. I’ve heard this many times from others. I also observed it myself. It continues to transfer researchers from Iran without any security checks. I understand those who say, “I am running away from the regime in Iran.” But what about people who actually support the regime and do not run away from it, but want to live a rich life with titles and good salaries while supporting the regime in the richest of Western countries? They embargo Russia and Iran, but continue to tacitly support such people by opening their most advanced laboratories and universities to such people, allowing the concept of “inclusivity” to be manipulated. They allow ethnic groupism in their own countries and allow this trend to continue.
8) Summary: A fact that the West overlooks, even in a situation that threatens its own future, either due to its unnecessary self-confidence or comfort zone: While Ukrainian men sacrifice themselves to save their homeland, they find this struggle worthless over time, saying that this war lasts a long time. At the same time, they “rescue” people who started papermill and citationmill trade in Iran in order to escape the compulsory military service of Iran, a country that is not officially at war, and continue to do so after coming to the West to benefit from the research funds there. There is no life-threatening risk for those doing compulsory military service in Iran. This is just a good excuse to leave the country. On the other hand, no one forces a Ukrainian man to fight too. He can escape if he wants. But he goes to death of his own will. Two different examples. Someone is looked down upon and treated like a beggar. The other one is the apple of the eye at the most prestigious universities. Note: The reason why I gave examples of research funds, papermill and citationmill is because I generally follow such things with pleasure on this blog. Undoubtedly, similar approaches exist in other aspects of life.
Slava Ukraini!
